Caser Financial Advisors offices.

Caser intends to accelerate the growth of its financial advisory subsidiary with the incorporation of agents from your insurance branch. In parallel to the external signings that the firm has already carried out (and will continue to do), the insurer is training under European regulations MiFID II to insurance brokers with the potential to attract high net worth and recommend investment fund portfolios.

A first agent had already taken this step last year, James Abad, which is located in Seville. Now three more have followed this path: Mónica Marín Castarnado (Granada), Diego Arjona Peral (Elche) and José Antonio Vida Retamero (Jerez de la Frontera).

According to Caser sources, the agents that begin to collaborate with the private banking of Caser Asesores Financieros will not cease to be linked to the insurer, so they will be able to distribute and recommend general insurance as well as pension plans and investment funds.

The insurer closed 2020 with 2,200 insurance brokers. For its part, Caser Asesores Financieros, which has been in existence for almost three years since the beginning of its operations, ended last year with a net growth of 185 million euros (and is already approaching 300 million in equity) and more than 800 clients served by more than one thirty financial agents. The intention is to promote the best of the universal network and give them more capabilities for their customers in the specific network.

Caser’s strategy is the one already being followed by insurance projects such as Mapfre Asset Management, Santalucía Asset Management, AXA Exclusiv or Allianz. Especially the latter, which set up a securities agency, incorporated the first thirty agents from its general network of insurance brokers and its immediate objective is to reach a thousand agents trained in Allianz Investment Solutions.

Latest signings

But Caser Financial Advisors, which runs Helena Calaforra, continues to look for talent in the market, in other rival entities. The latest agent to join has been Álvaro Sevillano, former founder and head of the family office CoreCapital. The previous ones had been Francisco de Asís Romero Lazúen (former of Banco Sabadell and Lloyds Bank) and Álvaro Merino (former of Liberbank).

Your goal is to reach the 100 advisers in 2025. In the short term, it plans to close 2021 with about 50. The average balance that its clients have in investment funds is around 300,000 euros.
